Getting ready to go on a long needed vacation, but I thought I'd post this before I go...

1. The Los Angeles Italian Festival - Los Feliz - 10/6
Franklin & Vermont turns into a mini Little Italy on Sunday the 6th. Admission is free for kids under 5, and only $5 for anybody older.
Food, music, samples, games, and discounts are on the menu -- so come on out and get a little taste of Italy in L.A.

2. Oktoberfest - Pomona - Weekends in October
The Pomona Fairplex will transport you to Bavaria as you walk through the gates. Authentic German food, music, games, and gallons and gallons of beer.
The event is 21 and over and no outside containers are allowed --- as you are strongly encouraged to dress up and enjoy the flowing beer in various gardens.

3. Angel City Jazz Festival -- DTLA - 10/2-10/13
For all you jazz lovers out there, the Angel City Jazz Fest holds it down in DTLA for 10 days in early October, a very diverse lineup, at multiple venues, offers something for everyone.
Passes are decently priced, and the music is extraordinary.
Started in 2008, it just keeps getting better and better....
